Description
Dedicated to Sayyida Zainab (س), the noble granddaughter of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), this piece was my first project in printmaking, created in 2020 using the relief printmaking technique. Inspired by her strength after witnessing the tragedies of Karbala, the work centers on her profound words spoken in the court of Yazid when asked what she saw:
"ما رأيتُ إلا جميلاً"
“I saw nothing but beauty.”
Through this limited edition artwork, I aimed to capture not only her unwavering faith but the dignity with which she carried the burden of grief, turning tragedy into testimony. The original LE relief printmaking prints are sold out; these are duplicate prints of the original art.
