This artwork embodies our God-given responsibility to resist injustice and remain steadfast in faith.
Inspired by the Qur’anic verse: ‘The party of Allah are victorious’ (Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:56), it conveys that when we have Allah (SWT), we are never merely victims. We trust in His plan, rely on Him to manage our affairs, exercise our right to resist, and remain grateful in every circumstance, no matter the trials we face.
The poppy flowers at the bottom symbolize the martyrs (shuhadāʾ). Those who die in the way of Allah, remain alive, nourished by our Lord, blooming in our hearts and in the seeds of resilience they sow. The martyr’s rule begins the moment his blood is spilled.”
