Poppies of Palestine, like the shuhada, they do not die. Rather, they are alive-nourished by our Lord, blooming in our hearts, and in the seeds of resiliance they have sown. The martyr’s rule begins the moment his blood is spilled.“And do not say of those who are slain in Allah’s way: ‘They are dead.’ Nay (they are) alive, but you perceive (it) not.” [2:154]
"وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَ"“And We did not send you, [O Muhammad], but as a mercy to the worlds.” — Surah Al-Anbiya [21:107]
This piece was originally painted in watercolor as a tribute to the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), whose presence was and remains a mercy for all creation. It is a quiet visual dhikr, a reminder of divine mercy manifest through the most beloved of all creation.
A recent artwork that required much patience and resilience! This painting depicts the shrine of the Master of Martyrs, Imam Hussain (as). I based it on a photograph I took of the shrine on the 15th of Sha’ban, which is why you can see the flowers and vibrant colors adorning the shrine in celebration of this blessed day.
I was inspired to paint this piece because the mirror work on the walls has always intrigued me as an artist. Capturing all the reflections was daunting, but a persistent urge kept me steadfast in completing the painting, even amid moments of self-doubt.
The intricate details and reflections also carry a spiritual meaning for me: just as we see ourselves reflected in the mirrored walls of the shrine, we are reminded to look inward. Does our soul reflect the qualities of a true soldier of our Imam, or does it reflect the qualities of his enemies?

Inspired by the Qur’anic verse: ‘The party of Allah are victorious’ (Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:56), it conveys that when we have Allah (SWT), we are never merely victims. We trust in His plan, rely on Him to manage our affairs, exercise our right to resist, and remain grateful in every circumstance, no matter the trials we face.

This artwork portrays the quiet defiance of a woman who stands before the machinery of oppression, unarmed, yet unshaken. Her strength is not her own but drawn from absolute tawakkul.
"وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُ"“And whosoever puts his trust in Allah, then He will suffice him.” — Surah At-Talaq [65:3]
Her figure, lit by divine rays, echoes the path of Lady Zainab (س), who stood tall in Yazid’s court undaunted, and unwavering. This piece is a tribute to all those who walk her path: women of faith who fear none but Him and find their strength in submission to Allah alone.
Perfect for a children’s room, this artwork depicts a group of children reading and illuminating the Quran while resting on colorful clouds. In the distance, the shrine of Imam Ali (as) is visible, and the crescent moon symbolizes the blessed month of Ramadan, during which this piece was created.

وَمَن يَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُۥ مَخْرَجًۭا ٢ وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ ۚ وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُۥٓ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بَـٰلِغُ أَمْرِهِۦ ۚ قَدْ جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ لِكُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدْرًۭا ٣
“And whoever is mindful of Allah, He will make a way out for them, and provide for them from sources they could never imagine. And whoever puts their trust in Allah, then He alone is sufficient for them. Certainly Allah achieves His Will. Allah has already set a destiny for everything.”
These verses are a profound reminder of hope, trust, and reliance on the Allah(swt). Presented as a set of two pieces, they are a beautiful reminder of the Most Merciful.

A painting inspired by the eloquent and thought provoking words of Imam Ali (as) in Dua e Kumayl.
The imagery in this dua has always intrigued me as an artist. There’s so much more to unpack, but I created this painting as I reflected on how the human body is described in this dua. The more I think about this body, the more astonished I become. Yet simultaneously, this body is so week. How easy is it to hurt oneself, get sick, break a bone, cut your skin. How often do we become arrogant and feel independent, forgetting that our lowly state requires continuous sustenance from its Rab, Lord, Nourisher.

The skeleton is often referred as the “support system” of the body. Here, “Ya Rab”, is interlaced into the bones and ribs to show who our true support system is, who gave rise to this body, and who we must serve through it.
